SOPA, The Stop Online Piracy Act: The newest threat to freedom of speech on the internet.

It's become a trend in "law enforcement" ever since America went commie for the judeo-communist authorities to be able to use ANY excuse to destroy somebody who speaks out against them.  Read the book THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH, specifically the chapter on the nazification of Germany.  You can easily see America's been undergoing nazification for years.  Even though what's happening to us is likened to communism (nazism's evil left-wing twin), it's still basically the same.  There is no facet of American life that won't be affected by the time these wouldbe totalitarians are through.  It'll be the same ole, same ole:  The "agrieved" party files charges against the "offender" and can then reap a financial award, up to and including bankrupting the "offender".  And, if you're poor, you can't afford a lawyer so basically this is just another law that The Big Guy can use against The Little Guy, but it won't work the other way around.  Sort of like the Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation.  Like I said, just more of the same:  The rewards and excesses of capitalism for Greater Citizens, and the deprivation and the ever-watchful eye of communism for Lesser Citizens. Just like the Soviet Union and Red China.

Problems with SOPA:

"Where DNS filtering does have an effect, for technical reasons its impact is likely to be overbroad and result in BLOCKING LAWFUL EXPRESSION rather than just infringement."

"SOPA would impose new responsibilities on ISPs to scrutinize and screen all user traffic."  This would increase an ISP's cost of doing business so they'd pass the costs onto us.  Disgruntled, unemployed bloggers would no longer be able to vent - this is part of the plan.

"SOPA would chill the growth of social media and force sites to adopt a new role as content police."

"Any online content or communications platform could lose its financial support at the WHIM of the most litigious rightsholder."  Will this ultimately mean that if you even use a "jewish" group's name you're in violation?

"The bill would eviscerate the predictable legal environment created by the DMCA, subjecting innovators to a new era of uncertainty and risk."
